Advantages ofmultiskilled offensive players
A player able todribble, shoot, pass, set picks and roll, and move without theball well is able to assist the team even in games in which anopponent is sufficiently skilled to eliminate some of the above.
A player able onlyto perform one skill, for instance shoot well, is unable toassist the team in games in which an opponent is sufficientlyskilled to eliminate that option, in this instance shootingoptions.
When a defendermust guard a player who is able to pass, dribble and shoot well,the defender is unlikely to be able to prevent all three optionssimultaneously. A skilled offensive player will be able to readthe defender and exploit the available options.
